Basilika Kirche Mariazell

On a beautiful September day of September 2008 we arrive on our 'pilgrimage' to MariaZell.

I'll share just some few impressions.

Mariazell is located on a hill, or mountain, reminds me a bit of Jerusalem. And Mariazell is a spiritual center or 'holy place' for Central and Eastern Europe.

Going up to the main entrance.

That's a 'famous look' to the Basilica.

Above the main entrance.

If this one could speak, what would he tell?

And we continue our walk ...

Mariazell itself is up a hill or tiny mountain. The view reminds me a bit of Jerusalem. Mariazell has been a spiritual center for Central and Easter Europe for Centuries.

The Shrine.

The 'KerzenGrotte' (CandleCave).

My camera got it's own interpretation of the candles, that people put here in commemoration of their dead loved ones. I put two candles here too. For my parents.
